Nursing & Allied Health Student Orientation

Wesley Healthcare partners with technical colleges, community colleges, and universities to ensure students receive the education and training they need for their healthcare programs.

Wesley partners with several local and regional technical colleges, community colleges and universities to assist with the education and training of students in various healthcare programs.

Clinical experiences include (but are not limited to) nursing, pharmacy, respiratory therapy, radiology, pathology, social work, occupational, physical and speech therapy, and child life specialist. Up to 1,400 students from various healthcare programs are on the Wesley campus each semester.

Our staff are dedicated professionals who use their expertise and experience to provide optimal “hands-on” opportunities for every student. We strive to help students recognize and maximize their potential. Our goal is to have each student choose Wesley as the place they want to work after graduation.

Wesley Medical Center Orientation

Welcome to Wesley Medical Center! As a student, we hope you will have a great learning experience. Wesley is dedicated to having a safe environment for everyone – patients, families, guests, staff members, physicians, as well as students.

Please read the Safety and Health Hazards 2016 book as though you are an employee. While written for WMC employees, you will need to be familiar with the content in order to provide safe and excellent care to our patients.

If you have questions regarding the content, please contact your faculty member or me at (316) 962-3385 or email Hope Helferich.

Best wishes on your educational adventure!
