Trauma outreach education

We are committed to providing ongoing trauma outreach, education and injury prevention services to the medical community.

Wesley’s trauma services staff recognizes the unique role that physicians, physician assistants, hospital personnel and pre-hospital providers play in the care of trauma patient. From initial stabilization and resuscitation at the closest treatment site to treatment at our Level I Trauma Center, ongoing communication is necessary to maintain continuity of care. Wesley's trauma outreach program provides feedback to our healthcare partners through patient updates and outreach case reviews.

Education

As a Level I Trauma Center, Wesley Medical Center is committed to providing trauma education for trauma centers, hospitals, physicians, and pre-hospital agencies throughout the State of Kansas. Wesley Medical Center’s physicians and nurses travel to outlying communities to provide educational lectures for healthcare providers.

Continuing education classes related to adult and pediatric trauma care are offered to healthcare providers, as part of Wesley's outreach activities.
